Meadow Greens will manage the distribution, ordering and monitoring of residents Prescription and Over the Counter (OTC) drugs.

One day each week the housekeeping staff will do light housekeeping services in the apartment. These services will include vacuuming, cleaning the toilet and tub, mopping the floor, and cleaning the kitchen counter. Additional housekeeping services are available and can be incorporated into the Individual Care Assessment.

The emergency call system is available for all residents. The wall mounted units in each room may be activated by pulling the string. The resident may push the pendant button or pull the wall button whenever assistance is required. The pendant/wall button will activate a pager worn by a staff member and the staff member will respond to determine what type of assistance is needed.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served restaurant style in the “Duck Hook Bistro” and “Outward 9” restaurant. Meadow Greens publishes a menu each week for the residents. Guests are welcome to dine with their family or friends. Room service is available.

There is staff available to assist with needs 24 hours each day in Assisted Living. The staff include Nursing Assistants, Personal Care Aides, and an RN/LPN on site or on-call 24 hours per day.

The Laundry facilities offer ironing boards, soak sink, and two washers and dryers located on every floor.

An individualized plan of care is uniquely developed for each resident based on the resident’s needs and the orders of their physician.

Meadow Greens fitness center includes exercise equipment, free weights, and classes.

Meadow Greens Van takes scheduled trips to Lynden shopping areas two times per week, with trips to Bellingham shopping destinations twice a month.

The Whatcom Specialized Transportation can be easily scheduled to aid transportation needs seven days a week. The Whatcom Transit Authority (WTA) router bus is also easily accessible at the corner of the Meadow Greens property.

Approximately every 90 days, a podiatrist comes to Meadow Greens. Podiatrist payments are made privately or through Medicare.

Meadow Greens has 32 assisted living apartments, all of which are studio units offering 24-hour staff support. Each unit has key-lock access and is self contained with private bathroom facilities. The price or service rate for assisted living is determined by an individual assessment performed by the Meadow Greens Director of Nursing. Through the individual assessment, residents will pay only for the services they require.
